Apple iPhone vulnerable to unauthorized access

Independent Security Evaluators has announced that Apple iPhone is vulnerable to hacker attacks, that can allow your foes to obtain access to information stored int the handset's memory. The device can be overrun via Wi-Fi wireless connection, and also a special web-page, that an iPhone user has to open in Safari (naturally, a victim can be persuaded to do so in a variety of ways).

The researches over at Independent Security Evaluators claim to have tested it with their own hands - they wrote a script, embedded it in a web-page and then used Safari on the iPhone to open it. This way, the experts say, they managed to access confidential information stored in the handset's memory - call history, messages, contacts, passwords and other things. On top of that, with these manipulations done, one can controls the cracked iPhone remotely - send messages, make calls, record audio and so on.

Independent Security Evaluators has already forwarded the information on iPhone vulnerability to Apple. For the time being, in order to keep out of such problems, the users are offered to visit only known and trusted web-sites (which doesn't sound too promising, to be honest).

Daydreamer merges Walkman with CyberShot

One of those numerous Sony Ericsson fans has come up with a concept design of a mobile phone that the maker could launch some time in the future. Apparently, this hybrid represents his golden dream, a phone where Walkman and Cybershot come together, with touch-sensitive controls all around. As the "developer" claims, the design builds upon the Sony Ericsson W960i, and in fact this is a dual-face phone, with Walkman and CyberShot (inspired by the K850i) sit on opposite sides.

It is called the Sony Ericsson H1i, where "H" stands for Hybrid and comes equipped with a 3-inch widescreen touch-sensitive display capable of 480x270-pixel resolution and 7.2 Mpix camera with flash. And basically this handset has no buttons, at least in the form we have used to see them - all numbers and letters are displayed on the backlighted screen.
